In the field of
dandelions, buttercups and grass an apple tree
is awaiting the awakening of apple picking
season. The grasses will be mowed; the ground
around them laid bare for the pick your own
crowd.
The nostalgic
old storage shed is gone, replaced by a
modern storage facility needed for today’s
production. We preserved the view by relocating
the new buildings.
The “old Truck”
complete with a “jug” on the front seat remains
in the blueberry block and legend says it
belonged to Tom McSherry and may have been the
first orchard truck. We plan to leave it as he
left it, a tribute to the PIETREE visionary.
We, like the McSherry
Family, have come to love PIETREE Orchard. We
hope you will drop by, sit on the farm porch,
sip cider, eat a donut or two and contemplate
the wonderful vista that is PIETREE orchard.
